OfficeMax have recently launched Max e Grants - a small grants programme that enables education providers to nominate New Zealand children for assistance. This exclusive community initiative is brought to you by OfficeMax in conjunction with child welfare charity Barnardos Australia.

Max e Grants has been successfully operating in Australia for over four years and has given out AUD$598,500 in grants to over 1015 Australian children.

From May 2011, OfficeMax New Zealand joins this programme to launch the same initiative for children in New Zealand.

OfficeMax recognises that education is one of the most important parts of a child's development but unfortunately some families struggle to equip their children with the resources required for their schooling.

Sometimes it just takes something small to help them on their way, for instance assistance with school books and stationery, uniforms and equipment, special tuition or support with excursions. Through Max e Grants, education providers can apply for up to NZ$5,000 per child to assist in their schooling.

Together with OfficeMax six of our preferred suppliers have offered their financial support to this programme and as a result we are delighted to be able to help a large number of New Zealand children enjoy the education experience they deserve.
