We’re dedicated to supporting Kiwi children beyond providing them with books and stationery for school. That’s why we’re proud to be official sponsors of 0800 What’s Up, a not-for-profit phone counselling service that has been helping children and young people across NZ for the past 12 years.
Run by child welfare charity Barnardos, 0800 What’s Up is a safe place for Kiwi kids to talk confidentially about anything. Trained counsellors are available to talk 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and answer phone calls from over 200 children every day.
Kids can call 0800 942 8787 from 1pm - 10pm Monday to Friday, and from 3pm - 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, this is the first kids’ helpline in NZ to offer an online chat service, open daily from 7pm - 10pm.
