Buy Now, Pay Later’ will once again allow parents to order all their kids’ school items in December, before the madness of Christmas, and wait until January to make payment and organise delivery.
Last year’s Back to School season saw a 1000 per cent increase in orders placed pre-Christmas – highlighting the demand parents have to get organised before the year’s out.
Long-time OfficeMax customer and Nelson school parent Bonnie Adams said the MySchool website makes her life so much easier during this busy time of year.
“Being able to shop online on the MySchool website is so much easier. I’m so busy with the kids, so it’s nice to know that someone can do it for me,” she said.
“I really like that I could order, be prepared and not have to pay till January. I think it’s a great idea for parents.”
OfficeMax New Zealand’s General Manager of Education Blair Horsfall said the company has looked into what parents want, and it’s the option to be organised, but being able to wait to pay until after Santa has visited.
“Based on the feedback from introducing ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ last year, parents and caregivers love being able to check their child’s requirements list off nice and early,” he said.
“While we can’t sort all the stresses about going Back to School, we can definitely help out on the stationery front.”
Following the success of its first year, OfficeMax has brought back ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’, with the offer seeing parents able to shop online for their children’s school needs in December – checking off lists, obtaining all the essentials and waiting to pay the bill until January, with supplies delivered directly to their home.
Orders placed on the OfficeMax MySchool website can earn rewards for schools through the School Rewards programme, which runs year-round raising an incredible $4 million since it began in 2007, contributing $713,000 throughout the 2016/17 Back to School season alone.
