TechCollect is a free national recycling service for domestic volumes. Available exclusively at OfficeMax Retail Stores.

A variety of technology items can be dropped off at our stores for recycling. The programme partners with New Zealand’s only Environmental Choice licensed e-waste recycler ‘Croxley Recycling’.

What Can Be Recycled
- Computers, laptops and tablets
- Computer monitors (CRT and flat screen)
- Desktop printers, copiers, scanners and multifunction printers
- Computer peripherals
- Cameras and video cameras

*Only limited numbers (1-3 items) of e-waste will be accepted per consumer – no commercial volumes. Please contact us on 0800 426 473 for commercial collections.

We Can’t Currently Recycle

Televisions (CRT and flat screens), white goods, consumer electronics, mobile phones and loose batteries.

Don’t Forget!

Make sure you delete your data. Protect your personal information by securely and permanently wiping any data before dropping off for recycling. Please click here for specific instructions on how to wipe your PC or laptop. Please note: the recycling process does not include the deletion of data and TechCollect cannot provide any guarantee on the safety of any data not wiped on any devices dropped off for recycling. Once dropped off your products and any data on them cannot be retrieved as they are dismantled and broken down for recycling.

Ink & Toner Recycling

Ink & toner cartridges can be recycled via the Croxley Recycling Programme, available online or in-store.
