Ordering Guidance

Schools and kura are encouraged to provide enough product so that ākonga can take it home and safely manage their full cycle. This works out as about two or three packs of product, per menstruator, every month. This is an estimation and more products can be ordered per student as needed.

Product allocations below are to provide guidance on the quantity of products you may look to order in the first instance, while you figure out how much product ākonga require. These consider the approximate number of menstruators at each year group in your school roll. When ordering products please consider the storage you have available and remember that you are able to order product regularly.

  • 6.3 percent of female ākonga in Year 1-6 are menstruating
  • 49 percent of female ākonga in Year 7-8 are menstruating
