OfficeMax is once again putting New Zealand children to the test, with the return of the Colour Your Classroom competition. Throughout Term 3, Kiwi students are urged to showcase their writing prowess for the chance to win a $1000 classroom prize pack.

Launched in 2014, the Colour Your Classroom writing competition will see primary school and intermediate students use their creative skills and answer, in 300 words or less: Who inspires you the most in your life, and why?

Last year the competition received more than 2,400 entries from kids all over the country.

Colour Your Classroom judge and Newell account manager Lee Clegg says he was blown away by the calibre of last year’s entries and can’t wait to see what responses this new question brings.
“I love the creativity of children’s stories and this competition gives them the encouragement they sometimes need to flex that writing muscle,” he said.

“I’m excited to hear who inspires our Kiwi kids and see just how they express that in words.”

Supported by leading stationery and office supplier OfficeMax, there are six classroom prize packs worth $1000 each to be won, with the winners being selected based on the most creative answers.

Prize packs include $250 worth of Sharpie, Paper Mate and Dymo products and $750 cash. Each winning student will also receive a Sharpie Fine 24-Pack valued at $54.99.
OfficeMax encourages teachers to tell their students about the competition and visit the Colour Your Classroom website for other educational resources including free downloadable lesson plans.

Entries can also be mailed to Sharpie Colour Your Classroom Competition, P.O. Box 86046, Mangere East, Auckland 2158.

The Colour Your Classroom colouring competition ends September 23, 2016.
