There are a wide range of benefits by registering an account with OfficeMax.
We believe that each and every person has a responsibility to do their part to better themselves, their communities and the natural environment we all share. And that includes us as a company too.
We embrace social responsibility across every aspect of our business, and foster it through our connections with our staff and customers, as well as our supplier partners and stakeholders.
Our strong corporate sustainability framework aligns with the global OfficeMax vision and we aim to achieve the highest levels of integrity within all of our business practices. This includes sourcing sustainable products, social accountability, audit of suppliers and our community initiatives, which include Max e Grants, our sponsorship of 0800 What's Up, NZ Business Hall of Fame, as well as a number of education sponsorships and business partnerships.
Education is an important part of a child's healthy development, but for some families, equipping their children with the resources needed for their schooling isn’t easy.
We believe that every Kiwi kid deserves the same opportunity as the next. That’s why we developed the Max e Grants programme in conjunction with child welfare charity Barnardos – to provide assistance to children, preventing them from feeling isolated or left out of activities due to social or economic disadvantage.
We’re dedicated to supporting Kiwi children beyond providing them with books and stationery for school. That’s why we’re proud to be official sponsors of 0800 What’s Up, a not-for-profit phone counselling service that has been helping children and young people across NZ for the past 12 years.
Run by child welfare charity Barnardos, 0800 What’s Up is a safe place for Kiwi kids to talk confidentially about anything. Trained counsellors are available to talk 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and answer phone calls from over 200 children every day.
Kids can call 0800 942 8787 from 1pm - 10pm Monday to Friday, and from 3pm - 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, this is the first kids’ helpline in NZ to offer an online chat service, open daily from 7pm - 10pm.

OfficeMax is a sponsor of the NZ Business Hall of Fame Sponsorship.
In 1994, Young Enterprise Trust established The New Zealand Business Hall of Fame to recognise those who have made outstanding business contributions to NZ.
Each year, seven or eight individuals who have made a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the nation are celebrated at a black tie gala and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
