Sustainability Reports

We're putting a stake in the ground.

OfficeMax published its first sustainability report in 2017. Research with customers, suppliers and employees identified areas that our stakeholders see as being the most relevant and important to the sustainability of the OfficeMax business.

Our sustainability reports seek to communicate the economic, social and environmental impacts of our operations to our stakeholders and use both the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards as a reference.

Sustainability Timeline

We take sustainability very seriously. It's a journey we've been on since 2001, and in that time we've taken a lot of steps to reduce our impact on the environment. There is always more to learn and we are constantly looking for new ways to expand our efforts.

Underpinning our sustainability initiatives and focus areas are our robust policies led from the top by our Executive team and embraced by our 700+ employees across New Zealand. In fact, many ideas for sustainability improvements implemented across our business have come from them.
