Throughout Term 3 children across New Zealand will have the chance to showcase their writing prowess and win a $1000 classroom prize pack through OfficeMax’s Colour Your Classroom promotion.

For the third year running the Colour Your Classroom writing competition will see children pick up a pen and answer the old time favourite: What do you want to be when you grow up, and why?

Last year the competition received more than 3000 entries from kids all around the country.

Supported by leading stationery and office supplier OfficeMax, there are six classroom prize packs worth $1000 each to be won, with the winners being selected based on the most creative responses.

The prize packs include $250 worth of Sharpie, Paper Mate and Dymo products, as well as $750 in cash!

OfficeMax encourages teachers to tell their students about the competition and visit the Colour Your Classroom website for other educational resources.

The website features free downloadable lesson plans and a pen licence-creating tool for teachers to reward young students who have graduated from writing with pencil to pen.
